Podcamp 2011 post notes
Another PodCamp has come and gone and a very successful one at that. We had less people and less speakers but in my own opinion this improved the quality of the event, too many of both can dilute the experience that is an UnConference.
We were also able to have the UnLab open all day as a space for attendees to check out. Devon had the makerbot and Jamie had the unbot roaming the hallways. In addition a new participant brought out a very cool homebuilt mame arcade machine. The newly constructed podcast studio also attracted quite a bit of attention. Doors and some cosmetic additions still have to be installed but the space worked very well with several streaming broadcasts occurring on Friday night and Saturday during PodCamp.
I am looking forward to seeing people make more use of the UnLab as a Make/Tech/Arts space that will hopefully see some innovative ideas to benefit the community at large.
